Is a Police Report mandatory for all accidents and damages?

Yes. A valid Police Report is required for all accidents and damages, including minor scratches and dents. Without it, full repair cost and related rental liability may apply.

Do drivers under 25 have additional liability?

Yes. Drivers under 25 may be subject to young-driver excess and additional charges according to insurer policy and rental contract.

What are the mileage limits and excess kilometer charges?

Standard limits are 250 km/day, 1200 km/week, and 5000 km/month unless otherwise stated. Excess mileage is charged per additional kilometer based on vehicle category.

What happens if the vehicle is returned late?

Minimum rental is 24 hours with a 59-minute grace period. Return beyond grace may be charged as an additional rental day, and the contract may auto-renew.

When is the security deposit refunded?

Security deposit is generally processed within up to 30 days, subject to deductions for fines, Salik, damages, excess mileage, cleaning, repairs, and outstanding charges.

Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all rentals with AYALAA RENT A CAR L.L.C. in Dubai, UAE. By signing the rental agreement, the Hirer accepts these conditions.

The Hirer is responsible for the insurance excess stated in the rental agreement, plus an additional fifty percent (50%) of repair cost as required by the insurer, for any accident, incident, damage, or loss during rental, whether at fault or not. A valid Police Report is mandatory for any accident or damage including scratches and dents. Without a Police Report, the Hirer is liable for full repair cost and daily rental until repairs are complete. The Hirer is also fully liable for engine, transmission, turbocharger, electrical, and mechanical damage caused by negligence, misuse, overheating, continuing after warning lights, or failing to stop after an accident.
Drivers under twenty-five (25) are subject to young driver excess and additional charges as per insurer policy. The Company may charge the Hirer for damages, traffic fines, Salik, tolls, or violations not recorded at contract issue but incurred during rental. If driven by an undeclared or unauthorized driver, the Hirer bears full liability for all damages, accidents, legal consequences, and unauthorized-driver penalty.
Insurance does not cover off-road, desert, rocky, mountainous, flooded-area driving, negligence, misuse, racing, drifting, stunt driving, excessive speeding, or improper operation. If theft occurs due to negligence (such as leaving keys inside or vehicle unlocked), the Hirer is liable for full vehicle value if insurer rejects the claim. Water entry, flood, rain, or seawater damage is fully chargeable. Lost or damaged key replacement is AED 800 to AED 15,000 by model, plus towing/reprogramming if required.
Insurance does not cover windshield, side/rear glass, tyres, rims, undercarriage, alignment, upholstery, infotainment, dashboard screens, or added accessories unless contractually included. These are charged per agency/approved workshop pricing. Tyre/rim/alignment/undercarriage damage caused by potholes, curbs, speeding, or improper driving is fully chargeable.
Standard mileage allowance is 250 km per day unless stated otherwise, with maximum 1200 km per week and 5000 km per month. Excess mileage is charged AED 0.50 to AED 2.00 per km by vehicle category. Salik is billed by actual use plus service fee. Smoking is prohibited and may incur AED 250 to AED 500 cleaning fee. Excessive dirt, stains, sand, food spills, vomit, strong odors, or pet hair may incur AED 350 to AED 1,200 detailing charge. Wrong-fuel incidents and related damage are fully chargeable.
If any rental fees remain unpaid, AYALAA RENT A CAR L.L.C. may terminate the agreement without notice and initiate police or civil recovery action. If vehicle misuse/accident/damage causes unavailability, loss-of-use fee equal to daily rental applies for full repair period.
Any accident while under alcohol, drugs, narcotics, or banned substances under UAE law makes the Hirer fully liable for all damage, repair, penalties, storage, police charges, and legal liabilities. If vehicle is confiscated due to such violations, Hirer pays full market value.
The Hirer is charged for all traffic violations during rental. If vehicle is confiscated/impounded due to violation, Hirer bears impound, storage, recovery, and administrative charges. Unpaid fines discovered within three (3) years from rental date may be charged to the Hirer’s registered payment method.
Minimum rental period is one day (24 hours). A grace period of fifty-nine (59) minutes applies. Delay beyond grace is charged as an additional rental day. If not returned on time, contract may auto-renew and daily charges/fees/mileage rules apply.
The Hirer is liable for full repair cost for damage where no Police Report is obtained, including third-party accidents. If vehicle is driven above 160 km/h or recklessly, Hirer is fully liable for resulting damages, mechanical failures, tyre bursts, and insurance may be voided.
The Hirer may not tow/pull objects without written approval. Vehicle cannot be used for racing, competitions, drifting, taxi service, or transport for hire. Unauthorized use makes all damages fully chargeable. Unauthorized modifications, stickers, decals, tint, or film incur penalties and restoration costs.
In case of accident, the Hirer must not move the vehicle until Police procedures are completed. If vehicle is seized/held by Police, Court, or Public Prosecution due to Hirer actions or negligence, Hirer remains liable for rental charges during seizure plus towing, storage, fines, admin fees, and legal costs.
The Hirer must comply with UAE traffic and driving law. Any damages or legal outcomes from driving unlicensed, suspended, underage, or under influence are fully borne by the Hirer.
Insurance coverage is valid only within UAE. Taking vehicle outside UAE without written approval makes all related violations/costs fully chargeable. Fuel, excess mileage, and cleaning charges apply if vehicle is not returned in same condition delivered.
The Company is not liable for belongings left in vehicle. The Hirer must park safely. Damage from weather, flooding, vandalism, falling objects, or acts of God while parked is borne by Hirer if not covered by insurance.
The Hirer acknowledges vehicle was delivered in good condition and agrees to maintain water/oil/tyre pressure. Any mechanical warning must be reported immediately. Unauthorized repairs are prohibited and fully chargeable.
The Hirer and driver are fully responsible for all legal/commercial charges from accidents, scratches, dents, internal/external damage, or violations, including court penalties, towing, storage, municipality removal, and confiscation. Vehicle must be returned in same condition as delivered.
Security deposit is refunded within thirty (30) days, subject to deductions for fines, Salik, damage, excess mileage, cleaning, repairs, and outstanding charges. The Hirer agrees not to dispute or demand early release before charges clear.

Note: In case of any conflict, the signed rental agreement and applicable UAE law will govern.
